The Eternal Journey

Resonating deep within my heart is this desire to fully live out a life of deep significance. At times, we all find ourselves at a crossroad of life as we ponder a deeper meaning of why we exist in this life. Each of us has been provided the opportunity to live the life we have been given to its fullest. When we make a discovery of the true purpose of our life, we move into a life that creates true impact with those that it touches. That which we have been called to do with our life is unique to each of us. The journey that is worth traveling in life is that expedition that forces us to go deeper into who we are and to discover that true purpose that was provided to us the moment in which we were created. The noise of this world is often louder than that small voice that is calling out deep within our soul.

Jehovah God seeks the hearts of all to amplify that small voice within us. He searches and invites all who seek Him to come and follow Him. He will lead us to green pastures and will give us peace. He wants us to become stones to build up His church here in this life. The foundation and cornerstone is Jesus Christ. He has divinely created each of us in a unique and specific way to carry on His will for your life. He has prepared each of us for His works when we follow him in faith. I feel God’s urging and calling to “GO” and serve the least of these. Too many in our society would be deemed to be the least of these. We pass by them every day, yet all too often fail to give them even a thought. A day and time is coming soon when each of us will have to account for that which we did and that which we failed to do.

Many would have you to believe that “I am a good person and that is all that matters.” Nowhere in the Bible does God command us to be good but rather like that of a Rhinoceros. A Rhinoceros plows ahead with little regard to what is in front of it. We are to be risk takers for the name of Jesus Christ. We are not to stand pat in the false comfort that we have created. God is calling us out of that comfort zone and to trust is what He is telling each of us to do in His name.

What is God calling you to do in this season that He has placed you? We can easily discount a calling but that which we have received from our spirit is not to be ignored. That calling is trying to be birthed into a reality. That calling is the identity that we have been gifted from our Creator. We are promised that one day we will receive upon a stone the calling that we received when we were created. That calling is unique to each of us just as every stone that exists is unique.

The world would have us to become bricks. The problem with bricks is that they have never been created by a supreme being. Through a study of history, we learn that people have been enslaved as they have formed bricks for someone who holds a level of temporary power over them. It is when that those who have been enslaved realize that the power hold over them exists temporarily and are able to break those bonds that their eternal identity and creativity of a well-crafted life commences. When the bonds have been broken, history has revealed that living a life beyond who we are is what creates eternal impact. Those who have created that impact are the ones who have shaped the world.

An eternal promise that we have received is that there is a white stone that exists for each of us and upon that white stone is the name that was given at the time of our creation. It is that name that defines that calling upon our life. The greatest journey we can embark upon is the discovery of the name upon white stone that has been set aside for each of us. It is upon that journey that life will changed and eternal impact commences.
