Living the C of a CRASH Life

Rhino logic dictates that we live with certainty.

Certainty in life brings clarity. When we have a clear understanding of our direction, we know that a CRASH is inevitable. Those crashes that we have in our life can be both intentional and unintentional but the crash that occurs can be a difference maker into the lives that we intersect. Knowing our purpose brings full clarity and understanding.

When we have developed the clarity that provides direction, we know that we are able to move with purpose and intention. That purpose and intention is what will mark us as others begin to take notice of how we intend to impact the world that surrounds us. Those that bring impact into the world are those that bring about change.

Change is Needed

A life lived within a static manner is never changing. A static life reminisces about the “good ole days” and has made their vision of what they have believed their past to be their idol. They continue to look back and hang onto the idea of what life was like and what my life could have been. They continue to replay their past events over and over in hopes that those past events may one day come back.

I am preparing for a high school reunion as I sit here and type this out. Yes, my high school years are part of my story, but the reality is that those years are not something that I remember with great pride. I can certainly ponder the many shortcomings that I experienced during my high school days. There was a level of pain that I had during those times as witnessed by the way in which I lived out my high school days. I was filled with anger and resent, and this manifested itself in both the way I treated people and the way in which I treated myself. There was no certainty in my life, and I just went through that stage of my life with no direction. I have often heard people state that they would go back to that time in their life provided they knew everything that they know presently but that type of attitude misses the big picture. To live a life that you want to curate from the past to me would only create more regret as there would still be failures to be made.

Learning from Failure

Failure can be a valuable life lesson, provided we choose to embrace it and not reject it. When we fail, it is the opportunity to create more certainty in our life when we examine the failure in its full context. Failure can provide to us deep life lessons if we are open to an understanding of the reason we failed and the lessons that we can learn from the incident. The person who states that they have never failed is the same person who has never attempted to change some aspect of their life. They are content with their comfort and lack of growth. Those are the people that are the true cowards of life as they are unwilling to live out their life to its fullest and use their gift of life to impact others.

The greatest gift that we can provide to someone else is to come alongside them and lift them up to a greater height. Giving someone a hand up brings a deep sense of connection in life. As human beings, we have been hardwired to connect with one another. That connection is life changing when we allow our impact to be a positive catalyst in the life of another. Others are attracted to the generosity of coming alongside another to life up their life.

The Simple Question We Need to Ask

Understanding the certainty that we have in our life is obtained by a deeper understanding of the values that we hold in our life. Each of us has values that are core to who we are. Those values come from life experience, family, and the prism that we view the world. Reigniting our core values is how we can take our stand in life and begin to let the world see the certainty that we have in our beliefs. Digging deep into who we are can bring about doubt and pain but that is what happens in the process of growth. We wonder are we heading in the right direction with what we have to offer the world but the bigger question we need to ask ourselves is what do I want? This simple question requires some digging deep into the treasure that we have deep within us.

The answer to this question for each of us could be simple but it is within the simplicity of that answer that we develop a true certainty, and that certainty reveals itself within the clarity of our answer. When the certainty has arrived and is aligned with the core values of life that we hold deep within us, we become a force to be reckoned with. Each of us has the answer within us of what we want but bringing it to the surface to act upon is what can set up apart. Trying to discover the answer to this simple question is a journey best realized when there is a guide that comes alongside. That guide has a vested interest in helping you to create the best person that you were meant to become. That guide will serve you in ways to help you realize your potential to live out your life as the masterpiece in which it was created to become.

What if?

The certainty that I have realized in my goal is that I desire to serve others upon their journey. With that certainty, I have developed the clarity of what that means. I know that to do so, I must provide that space for others with an empathetic listening ear. I, like many, have too been in those situations in life that brought no joy. I have worked for those organizations that attempt to state one thing with regards to engagement, but the engagement that they preach is only one sided. They attempt to lead via intimidation and bullying which creates the opposite of what they state that they hold as their core values. I know the feeling of being under that “boss” who is only able to manage and not lead. They fail to inspire and only intimidate. I know the feeling of being defeated before the day even starts.

What if we had a multitude of people who rejected this one-sided mindset and created their own well-crafted life? We would create a force that understands the certainty of their life. This certainty will be their guiding light as they traverse upon the path that has been laid before them. They will embark upon this path with a sense of presence, engagement, and purpose. They will become a Rhino and create those CRASH moments upon their path.

I would be honored to help you to discover that certainty that you desire in your life as my pleasure is to serve you in a way that benefits you. To schedule a time in which we can speak, contact me at rob@robfenstermaker.com
